Every year, Wines of Great Britain celebrates British Wines and their producers with the annual Wines of Great Britain Awards. Judged by an extensive panel, including Susie Barrie MW – a Master of Wine – and wine writer, presenter and broadcaster, Oz Clarke OBE, the Wines of Great Britain Awards are a chance for British Winemakers to showcase the very best British Wine they have to offer.
This year Whitehall Vineyard took home 6 awards across the Red, White and Rosé categories. Read on to find out which of our wines scooped up an award this year!
Whitehall Vineyard, Pinot Noir 2019: Silver Award
Receiving a Silver Award at the Wines of Great Britain Awards this year, Whitehall Vineyard Pinot Noir (2019)is light and delicate with a great balance of acidity and light tannins. Aged in French Oak, this best-selling wine is rich in colour and complex in character, as Vineyard Magazine writer Matthew Jukes labelled the wine a ‘triumph.’

Whitehall Vineyard, Bacchus 2019: Bronze Award
Scooping up a Gold Medal at the IEWA 2020 Awards, Whitehall Vineyard Bacchus is favoured for its elderflower aromas, a taste of green apple on the palate and herbaceous notes. Our Bacchus is ripe and zingy and pairs perfectly with pasta or white meat.
Whitehall Vineyard, Charlotte May Rosé 2019: Bronze Award
Another award winner at the IEWA 2020 Awards, our Charlotte May Rosé is delicate and light in body, with irresistible flavours of summer berries. A perfect summertime wine referred to as ‘Balanced, fruity and floral wine with character’ by The Independent English Wine Awards. Pairs well with soft cheeses and Mediterranean dishes.

Whitehall Vineyard, Nethercote Hill 2018: Bronze Award
Soft on the palate, yet rich and ruby in colour, Whitehall Vineyard Nethercote Hill 2018 took home a Bronze Award at the Wines of Britain Awards this year. Paired perfectly with red meat or a hearty Sunday lunch, our blend of Pinot Noir and Rondo contains subtle Strawberry hints with light tannins. Whitehall Vineyard, Nethercote Hill 2019: Bronze Award
Whitehall Vineyard’s Nethercote Hill (2019) was awarded Bronze at this years Wines of Britain Awards, owing to its rich blend of Rondo and Pinot Noir. Another delicious accompaniment to a red meat dish, this smooth Red offers a long and mouth-watering finish.
